Amsterdam

Our team was not at our best for enjoying Amsterdam. Three of us still struggling, two recovering, and Madonna, our only fully healthy soldier.

We began the day with a canal trip. Madonna, Danny and Donna elected to do their own walk while Mark, Wayne and I returned for a sleep.

Could be good for the Masquerade night!

In the afternoon, we went to the very moving Anne Frank’s house. Totally worth the visit. We walked back through the red light district … in the daylight.

I so wanted to revisit my experience of eating a cookie but wasn’t well enough.

What is that face, Mark?
Cookie???
I was feeling crook beside this crooked building.

Danny and Madonna wandered into town after dinner. They did have trouble getting back on the ship as their cards didn’t work. Apparently curfew is 10pm but we hadn’t been informed of that. As far as anything else while they were out, what happens on the trip, stays on the trip…

Walking the ‘Red Light District’

Faux pas of the day

Wayne had two. First one after being warned multiple times that the bike riders don’t stop. He crossed the bike path completely oblivious to the danger and only averted being taken out by a scooter rider through the yells of Mark and myself. The second one was thinking a live massage was happening in one of the Amsterdam windows… it was a video.

PS: Thought of you and Ben, Alyssa! Xx
