2024 Norwegian Nomads

Our cruise director downplayed this town and its surrounding countryside. Absolutely spectacular. We were also very glad to have time on land.

To fill in the morning, we elected to do the ‘hop on hop off’ bus which took us up to a high point above the town (Aksla) and to a number of key points in Alesund. Fantastic views!

In the afternoon, we went from our big ship to a smaller one and cruised a fjord. Incredible! I think it was even better than we expected. Mountains, waterfalls, clean air, pristine water, amazing scenery… we have so many photos, I cannot do the fjord justice. Here are a few…

We returned to our ship, had our welcome champagne in the O’Sullivan room and did our usual dinner and watching the ‘dancing saga’.

As Donna said, they could write a series involving the intrigue of who’s who in the dancing world of a cruse ship. It is so much fun to watch and speculate!
