Rainy day in London

As it was our last full day in London, we had many sites to tick off. We decided to divide and conquer. Donna and Mark drew the short straw and went to the laundromat. The rest of us took the tube and ticked off the following sites. We didn’t let the rain stop us.

First stop – Buckingham Palace

Changing of the guard cancelled! Oh well! Photo opportunity and tick!

Next stop – Trafalgar Square

Boys disappointed that they were not allowed to hop on the lions anymore!

Third stop – Leicester Square

Completely wrong angle for me – I want to do it again!
Stop at Leggo World – car made completely from leggo.
View from Leicester Square to Piccadilly Circus.

A quick pause for refreshments

Milkshakes
Brain freeze!
China Town on the way.

Fourth stop – Piccadilly Circus

Panorama
Can man!

We then came back and rejoined Mark and Donna and went to the Camden Markets. So much to see…and if you had room in your bag…to buy!

Madonna and Danny then continued ticking off the sites and caught the tube into the Tower Bridge. They got the Circle Line back and said those trains were far easier to navigate and a lot nicer that the Underground. Great time to find that out – the last time we needed the train.

Awwww!

We all settled into the pub across the road (could finally get into it). We met a lovely couple from Poland so Madonna felt at home with her ancestory.

A quick walk home via KFC and Burger King and London’s a wrap!

NB: Our party animals, Madonna and Danny tried to get into the neighbouring casino but were rejected. Not members! Really?? Or was it the hiking boots and mayonnaise dripping down the shirt from Burger King?
